Stangelandsmarka is located in an area south of Kopervik and offers the hiker a varied landscape of contrasting nature. In the course of a day trip, you can encounter topography that includes forests, open marshes, heather uplands, mountains and lakes.

The area around Liarlundstjødna Lake is the best prepared section on the uplands, and with initiative from Karmsund Lions Club, work is currently being carried out on upgrading all the trails in the area. This includes a total of 60 metres of bridges and the laying of tracks towards the highest summits, something that will make this distinctive piece of Karmøy nature more accessible.
Liarlund is one of the main starting points for round-trips of various lengths around Stangelandsmarka. A large parking area including an information board has been created on the south side of the lake. (NB: Be advised that there are a number of swamps around Liarlundstjødna). North of the lake there is an open area in a the forest that has benches and is ideal for pauses and picnics.

Partially marked.

Lighted tracks and gravel tracks, otherwise consisting of tracks in varied conditions.
